I had this vision the other day in which the isle of Staten snaps free from the four bridges and floats off into the Atlantic. Bob was at the helm, singing songs for a serene sailing. We all know that great soundtracks are essential for all our waking hours.

I noticed the name Bill Doerge and was wondering if it is the same Bill Doerge (keyboards?) that I played with on occasion in High School/College. Ask him if he remembers playing the music for "Mother Courage and her Children" at Staten Island Community College back in the '70's.-With Maurice Oliver, George Bouquio, and myself. George and I wrote the music for the new lyrics that were used in this production. (Eric Bentley). It would be great to get in touch with Bill. I am still playing bass with a group today (Second Nature). Also-I remember the name Norm Pederson- I played in a band (The Dark Ages Blues Band) with Jean Campbell. Does that one ring any bells? How about John Torquefire's Follies at St. Peter's?

You look younger in the pictures and your wife is better than you deserve. I guess that about covers it except that I wish I had a schedule that allowed me more time to get together with chaps like yourself,Bob, Norm et al. See you at the Great Kills library. Jim
